Hardenhuish Headlines

Dear Parents and Carers

Our Remembrance Commemorations were marked with great reverence on Tuesday with all young people who wore their uniform to school as a mark of respect joining us on the flagpole field for the silence at 11am. Thank you to Joe for playing the Last Post and Reveille so beautifully and to Ellis and Evan for managing the flag. The poppies on display in Reception are made up of petals with messages of respect written by our young people and are a lovely additional mark of remembrance – thank you to Mrs Carter and the History Team for leading our commemorations and helping us all to remember. Thank you to Mrs Todd, Tom and Madelyn for representing Hardenhuish at the Service and wreath laying in Chippenham.

The Year 11 have now completed their mocks. A big thank you if you have been supporting young people at home through these and a big thank you to our Exams and Year 11 Team and teachers for all of their support in school. We look forward to supporting them over the coming weeks to identify what we need to focus on ahead of the exams in the summer, but congratulate them on how seriously they have taken the exams and how well they have coped with the whole process.

I am delighted to announce that the Christmas Raffle has gone live on the Arbor Shop. We have a top prize of a V15 Dyson Cordless vacuum, and many more prizes. Tickets are priced at £1.00 each. Online tickets sales will close on Arbor at 12.00 noon on Thursday 11 December, and tickets will also be available on the evening of the Christmas Fayre on 12 December 2025; the draw will take place at the Fayre. If you would like to support our fundraising efforts by helping out at the Fayre, please contact events@hardenhuish.wilts.sch.uk .

Wiltshire College Chippenham Campus Tour

Year 10 Vocational students enjoyed a tour of Chippenham campus this week, where they learnt about the range of Vocational courses they do there, including Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Music, Carpentry and Hair and Beauty and also found out about college life.  It was also a bonus to see many previous Hardenhuish students enjoying their studies as we toured the site. Thanks so much to Gerry Williams and the other college staff who hosted this for us, the students really appreciated the opportunity
