At Hardenhuish School we aim to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for our whole school community – children, staff and parents – and recognise how important mental health and emotional wellbeing is to our lives in just the same way as physical health. We understand that children’s mental health and wellbeing can affect their learning and achievement, and by supporting wellbeing we can also support our pupils to succeed.
Wellbeing is a fundamental part of what we do at Hardenhuish, and we make sure that wellbeing is considered in all decisions that we make. We are proud to be recognised for all of our hard work and continual focus on wellbeing, and have been awarded both the Wellbeing Award for Schools and Wiltshire Healthy Schools Silver awards.
“Wellbeing is not just a paper policy for Hardenhuish. We have seen in practice that they ‘walk the talk’ in the case of both of our children”
“The school shows in many ways that it values the whole child rather than a focus just on academic results. Wellbeing is an obvious priority for the school in everyday school life and the approach staff take as well as one off events.”
