Dear Parents
Thank you for all of your patience and support this term. There has been a lot going on but by working together we have found a way through it. A parent recently emailed in:
“This also proves that the three way triangle can work and without this none of this would have been achievable”
which I think is good evidence of how us working together gets the best outcomes for our young people.
Year 11 left well on Wednesday and we look forward to celebrating their time at Hardenhuish with them after their exams have finished at the Prom.
Have a good May break and I look forward to welcoming our young people back on Monday 5 June for Term 6!

Rupert Reports
This term I have been spending a bit more time up in the sixth form, sitting in on tutor time, social science and geography lessons. Year 13 have been very focused with students arriving early and staying late in the study areas. Exam season is underway, and all concerned seem to be coping well. Year 13 had their leavers day last Friday which included a breakfast and treasure hunt. A hotly contested bench ball competition followed, well done to 13PDA who were worthy winners.
I have been off on my usual travels which included Cornwall at half term – surprisingly dry; the photo is from a sunny Booby’s Bay near Padstow. Unfortunately, Herefordshire at Easter was rather damp, but we still got some great walks in including Carding Mill Valley. We are all looking forward to the half term break where I will be heading down to Porlock. Happy holidays everyone!

Year 10 Health & Social Care
Year 10 Health and Social Care students recently enjoyed a visit from Sara Dagger, Qualified Teacher for Vision Impairment for Wiltshire Council Sensory Impairment Physical and Medical Service to learn about the work she does to support children and young people who have vision impairment.
Pupils learnt about the physical, intellectual, emotional and social impacts of sight impairments on children’s development and had the chance to get a small insight into how people may experience this by trying on a range of glasses that emulated some eye conditions.

U13 Girls Softball Cricket Tournament
The Yr7/8 Cricket team went to their regional softball tournament this week and they were very lucky with the weather! The girls had a fantastic tournament working hard from match one all the way through to the semi final where they were involved in a tight game with RWBA. The girls were an absolute pleasure and showed off their excellent fielding skills with some brilliant catches and straight bowling and the batting was calm and collected in every match. There was a fantastic team spirit and the girls sportsmanship was fantastic throughout the tournament. Overall the girls finished 3rd in the tournament and represent Hardenhuish impeccably.
