Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you have had a good summer and are looking forward to the term ahead. A very warm welcome to those parents and carers who are joining our community. I hope that the Headlines provides you with all of the information you need each week to know what is going on, but if you do need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us and hopefully the communication “Focus on…” below will help.
The young people have had a positive start back this week and it has been lovely to welcome our new Year 7 and 12. Please see here, the link to all of the extra-curricular opportunities that are available this term. Please encourage your young people to take part in as much as possible and take the opportunity of the new academic year to try something new.

Focus on … School Development Plan for 2025/26
We are in the process of finalising our School Development Plan for 2025/26 but will be focusing our time on the following areas:
- making our lessons even more accessible for learners
- making sure that we have the right routines and structures in place to support our staff and young people to learn and work in a positive environment
- making sure that our young people are fully engaging in the work they are doing by developing our practice in checking their understanding.
Alongside these we will also be working on joining up elements of our personal development offer and exploring ways that we can support homework and independent learning.
As our plans become clearer, we would be grateful of your input as parents to support our work and will be in touch later in the year to set up some Parent Focus Groups.
