VACANCIES

Teacher of English
September 2017 start – MPS/UPS

Hardenhuish School is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school set in the magnificent parkland of the former Hardenhuish Manor and Chippenham Grammar School. We enjoy an outstanding reputation locally and nationally as a ‘High Performing Specialist Academy’. Exam results are consistently above the national average. At Hardenhuish we put children at the centre of all we do: we believe in a three way partnership with school, home and the individual, ensuring that each and every young person is ‘inspired to learn, supported to succeed’.

We are looking for an ambitious and outstanding full-time permanent Teacher of English who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated to teaching at a high standard across the Key Stages. You will need to have a passion for your subject and be committed to bringing English to life for your pupils both in the classroom and beyond it.

The English Faculty aims to empower students with the ability to articulate themselves, realise the creative opportunities inherent in our language and to foster a love of literature in all its forms.

Our new English teacher will join a vibrant team of wonderful colleagues who are committed to providing excellence for all. You would be working in our well-equipped dedicated English classrooms with access to ICT suites. You would have the advantage of outstanding CPD provision, if appropriate an established and successful NQT programme, in-house career progression opportunities, regular staff-wellbeing events and access to a generous benefit package through Wiltshire Rewards. In 2014 the school was awarded the Investors in People Gold Award – with less than 3% of companies achieving this standard you can be guaranteed a supportive environment where every member of staff is helped to be the very best they can be.

Applications are welcome from experienced teachers or NQTs.
