Careers & Transition Manager
£24,964 – £27,668 pro rata per annum

We are seeking to appoint, for a September start, an inspirational and motivated Careers & Transition Manager, committed to providing high quality information, advice and guidance to enable pupils and students to make aspirational but realistic choices about future education, training and careers. This will involve supporting pupils and students at important transition points, including Key Stage 4 options, progression to Sixth Form and university as well as other post 16-18 pathways such as further education and apprenticeships.  The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our Sixth Form Team to help induct students as they start their A level studies and support them through the UCAS process. The role also includes coordinating our work experience programmes and leading careers education throughout the school.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, with a qualification in careers guidance being desirable. Previous experience of working with young people, aged from 11 to 18, including experience within a secondary school setting, is advantageous but not essential.

The position will be for up to 30 hours per week, worked over at least 4 days per week during term time. Attendance at some key evening events and results days is required.

Matron
£18,746 to £20,661 pro rata per annum

We wish to appoint, for a September start, a suitably qualified and caring School Matron to take responsibility for providing a comprehensive medical welfare service for pupils and staff. This will involve carrying out risk assessments, producing medical care plans, administering first-aid to pupils and staff members, and recording and reporting all incidents appropriately and in a timely manner.  The successful candidate will be based in a well-resourced medical room and will need to hold at least a current full First Aid at Work Certificate.

The postholder will be required to demonstrate flexibility, resilience and empathy in addition to possessing good organisation skills and be IT literate. The ability to take responsibility and show initiative is essential.

The position will be 32½ hours per week (8.30am to 3.30pm daily) worked over 5 days per week, term time only.

DT (Resistant Materials) & Art Technician

£16,781 to £17,772 pro rata per annum
 
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Technician to support the work of our busy Design Technology and Art Departments. Although experience within an education setting would be advantageous it is essential that the postholder be able to demonstrate proven practical skills.  The start date will be negotiated with the successful candidate upon appointment.  The position will be for 20 hours per week for 40 weeks per year (term time plus 5 days).
