The hard work, determination and resilience of Year 11 at Hardenhuish has been rewarded with a set of GCSE results to be very proud of. There are many individual success stories with 72% of pupils of pupils achieving the 9-4 basics measure (grade 9-4 in English and Maths) and 52% of pupils achieving a strong pass (9-5). Of these entries across a broad and balanced curriculum, 27% of entries achieved grades 9-7 with 54 pupils (21%) achieving at least 5 9-7 grades and 8 pupils achieving at least 10 9-7 grades. The majority of pupils achieved their challenging academic targets, making better than the national average rate of progress under the government’s Progress 8 measure, and 100% of pupils entered for our range of vocational qualifications passed, with many achieving merits and distinctions.
The positive work ethic, determination and hard work of Year 13 students at Hardenhuish has resulted in fantastic A level results with the vast majority of students meeting or exceeding their challenging targets.
This is the last Headlines of this academic year and I would like to begin by thanking you for your support. It has been a joy to speak to all the young people in assemblies over the last couple of weeks and congratulate them on the progress they have made this year and your encouragement and care behind the scenes has played a large part in this.
Open Evening last night was amazing!
Helped significantly by the weather and preparations of our staff, the event really did showcase Hardenhuish at its best. A big thank you to all the young people who came back to help and sell their school to our prospective pupils and their parents.
Please do share any achievements from outside of school with us to publish in the Headlines as it is wonderful to be able to celebrate the wide and varied successes of our young people both within school and beyond.
It has been a lovely week of events this week.
The Year 11 and 13 Proms enabled our young people to celebrate their time at Hardenhuish with each other and their teachers. The sun shone, everyone looked wonderful and enjoyed their evenings. Thank you to the parents who have supported them (and us!) throughout.
