Hardenhuish Educational Trust and the Friends of Hardenhuish have been fundraising for a new lightweight minibus to replace one of the very old minibuses that the school has. The advantage of the lighter weight minibus is that it can be driven by younger staff who do not have category D1 on their driving licence.
As part of their fundraising campaign Neil Collings, Chair of Hardenhuish Educational Trust, applied to Fish Brothers Toyota Swindon for a grant and was successful in receiving £1,550 towards the cost. Mr Dan Hawker of Fish Brothers visited Hardenhuish on Wednesday 6th December to present the cheque to Lisa Percy, Headteacher, who said “The school are very grateful to Hardenhuish Educational Trust and Fish Brothers for their support in raising money towards the purchase of a new and much needed minibus for the benefit of all of our pupils and students.”
It is hoped that sufficient money will have been raised to enable delivery of the minibus in the Spring.
