It has been another busy week with young people and staff settling back into school routines.
It is great to see so many Year 7s receiving certificates for the number of merits they have received so far this year. Year 8 have approached the first week of their exams with maturity and positivity. Year 9 are taking opportunities, including PPCE last night, to talk to their teachers about the upcoming Options process. Year 10 and 11 are working on developing their study and revisions skills in Successful Lives and at the PIAG on Wednesday. Year 13 are making good progress with their plans for next year with University and Apprenticeship offers being received and Year 12 are making the most of a variety of trips and visits in a range of subjects to enhance their studies.
As the term continues please share with us any successes of our young people outside of school as it is a real privilege to share in their celebrations through the Headlines.
Severn Vale 3-9 Hardenhuish
The U12 Girls continued their winning ways in the ESFA competition. The girls played fantastic football at times during the game and really showed determination to win. Emily F and Holly E were linking up well and found themselves on the scoresheet. Erin R, Ottie B and Claire M were solid in defence making clearances and forcing Severn Vale to play backwards. Niamh D, Aila L-W and Hope M showed strength when attacking making sure were not pushed off the ball and providing Emily and Holly with an opportunity to score. Sophie G worked tirelessly upfront pressuring every player and forcing mistakes and Martha R in goal showed great promise with stopping shots with a big smile on her face. Overall it was a great game played in fantastic spirits with Hardenhuish being successful and looking forward to the 4th Round!
