The Carol Concert last night was a lovely way to start the festive season and raised an amazing £680 for the Doorway project. A huge thank you to Simon Dunn, Becky Meilton and St Paul’s for allowing us to hold the event in their beautiful church and thank you and well done to all of the staff and young people who contributed their skills and talents to make it so special.
Thank you very much for your support during these first two terms.
It has been a privilege to share with you the many successes of our young people and I look forward to those continuing in 2020.
Have a restful and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
As we are at the end of another term, here are the latest musings from Rupert.
Christmas Tree Decoration Competition
This term, the Art and DT department have been raising money for the mental health charity Mind by running a handmade Christmas tree decoration competition. The number of entries were incredible with so many unique and original ideas making the winning decorations a challenge for the department to choose. The department was thrilled that so many pupils chose to take part, showcasing their creativity and artistic flare and it was a delight to decorate the Christmas tree in C Centre with all of the amazing creations. Four winners received a prize in the categories ‘Sustainability’, ‘Most Creative’, ‘Most Original’ and ‘Most Effort and all pupils who took part received a certificate of participation and two aces/merits. Most importantly, the competition raised over £30 for the charity Mind, thank you to all those who took part and well done for your contribution to the Arts at Hardenhuish.
