Welcome back to 2019/20!
I hope that you had a restful and enjoyable summer.
A warm welcome to our Year 7 parents and the parents of Year 12s who have joined us for their 6th Form.
It has been a very purposeful first week back and I would like to thank you for your support in preparing our young people for their return to school.
Year 7 have settled well, Year 8 have returned with a spring in their step because they are no longer the youngest, Year 9 and 10 have settled well into their options and Year 11 and Year 13 are taking their studies seriously in preparation for their exams next summer! We have welcomed back a fantastic number of Year 12s and they are settling well into life in the 6th Form.
Please can I remind you that pupils should be dropped off and picked up from the drop-off point and not outside the house unless this has specifically been arranged.
If you are collecting/dropping off pupils for activities or trips, please can you use our site or the road and not the Sheldon site. Please could parents also avoid parking in Old Hardenhuish Lane at the end of the day. The area has double yellow lines to ensure the safety of our young people and although I appreciate the drop-off zone gets very busy, I am keen that we avoid a serious accident/incident.
I am looking forward to supporting Team Hardenhuish in the Chippenham Half Marathon on Sunday and celebrating the achievements and successes of the 2019 Year 13 next Wednesday.
