Hardenhuish Headlines

Hardenhuish Headlines

I hope that you had a restful May break.

The focus has been on exams for Year 9 and 12 this week as well as those completing GCSEs and A Levels. Congratulations to all pupils and students for displaying such a mature attitude in the exams and around the site during this time.

It was a pleasure to represent Hardenhuish at the Heywood Prep Senior School Fair last night to tell prospective pupils and parents about our wonderful school and begin the admissions process for September 2020.

Well done to the U15 Cricket Team for their County Cup win – I wish them luck in the next round and am so pleased that cricket continues to thrive at Hardenhuish.

It is Cross-Curricular day today and I hope that all of our young people enjoy their alternative learning experiences. Thank you to all staff and members of our wider community who have been involved in the organisation of the Caerphilly Trip for Year 7, Water Day for Year 8, Sustainability Day for Year 9, University Aspiration Day for Year 10 and UCAS preparation day for Year 12.

Have a restful weekend.

Headteacher

U15 Boys Cricket Wiltshire Champions

Travelling over to Trowbridge cricket club to battle other schools in the area, we managed to defeat every single team that we came up against.  The PE Department are therefore massively proud to announce that our U15 boys cricket squad has become Wiltshire champions!

They now go through to the next round to represent our county against other counties in the regional finals!

Year 7 Athletics

Congratulations to our Year 7 Athletics Team who competed in a track meet vs Sheldon this week.  All boys and girls were a credit to Hardenhuish and there were some fantastic results on the night. The girls were victorious over their counterparts, but the boys were just pipped at the end. A fantastic effort from all and a great way to start our athletics season!
