Happy Hello Yellow Day!
It has been lovely to see so much yellow around the site today and hear young people talking about mental health.
I wanted to update you on the trips planned for the end of last academic year that had to be postponed due to Covid.
Year 7 obviously were not with us before the summer but we have started their extra-curricular well with their trip to Liddington and they will be going to Paulton’s Park as part of their Activity Days at the end of the summer term.
Year 8 have also had the additional opportunity of their visit to Liddington and will also get the opportunity to go to Paulton’s Park during our Activity Days.
As Year 9 have missed out on their last two end of year trips, we have decided to re-instate the Alton Towers two day opportunity for Activity Days; details regarding this will follow as soon as we are able.
Year 10 will have an end of year trip to Thorpe Park following their WEX debrief day.
Year 11 and 13 will have trips to Thorpe Park as part of their leavers’ celebrations.
We are currently considering how Year 12 will spend their Activity Days in the summer and Mr Heffernan will be in touch with more details later in the year.
I am pleased that the number of extra-curricular experiences are increasing which is fantastic and it so lovely to be able to offer all of these amazing opportunities for our young people again.
Please see here a parent’s guide to Covid testing. A reminder that young people and staff should continue to test twice each week on a Sunday and Wednesday evening. If you have any concerns please report them via firstname.lastname@example.org .
Have a good weekend.
Y8 pupil Trystan Stovell passed his Grade 3 Flute Exam in July with a merit pass. Well done Trystan.
