Thank you very much for your continued support in this ever changing but continually challenging situation.
Further to the announcement by the Prime Minister on Wednesday that schools will not re-open before 8 March we want to continue to do all we can to support you as parents and your young people as much as we can during this extended period of national school closure. Therefore, we will be running a Parent Information, Advice and Guidance (PIAG) event via Microsoft Teams for all parents on Thursday 4 February with a focus on supporting the well-being and remote learning of young people during the current lockdown. The event will start at 6pm and include short presentations from Dr Bassford, Mr Cobbold and Mrs Glossop before a live question and answer session. A range of pre-recorded video presentations will also be made available through the school website to cover topics including:
- Remote learning
- E-safety during remote learning
- Using Microsoft Teams for students and parents
- Pastoral support
- Physical wellbeing
- Mental wellbeing
We will send a reminder about the PIAG event next week with a link to access the event and the resources on the school website.
I am sure that many of us will share the sentiments of one of the young people at Winter School this week who was keen to share their thoughts regarding our new path “It’s going to save me hours in shoe cleaning!”
I am just looking forward to seeing it full of young people!
Take care, have a good weekend and please do get in contact if you need us.
