Thank you very much for all of your support during recent months. Our whole community has worked together as always to ensure that as far as possible in very challenging circumstances, our pupils continue to learn and are supported. Home Learning has been a new venture for us all and I would like to thank you for everything you have done to support us and your young people with this. We hope that the opportunities for pupils and students to come into school over the past few weeks have helped to further support this and start to look forward towards September.
A reminder that we have amended our first week back in September as follows:
Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 September 2020
Training and Development Days
Thursday 3 September
Year 7 Induction
Friday 4 September
Year 7 and 12 Induction
Monday 7 September
All pupils return to school
I have included a draft of our Re-opening Information for Pupils and Students HERE to enable you to talk this through with your young person before we return. We will re-issue this as a final version before the term begins in September and this will also be the focus of our discussions with young people during the first few days back to ensure that the new ways of working become embedded as quickly as possible. Please note that this is a work in progress but I was keen to share this draft with you as soon as possible. We will address any questions raised in the final version and I am sure you will understand that individual emails will not be replied to during the Summer break.
I have spoken to many of you during the last few weeks about how much I am looking forward to getting our staff and young people back in to school. I will send an end of term message on Friday but thank you again for your patience and understanding as we prepare for getting back to school in September.
