A LEVEL INDUCTIONS

Sixth Form Induction
There are a range of induction activities to prepare students for starting at Hardenhuish Sixth Form.

Induction Day Friday 15 July 2016
This morning is for all students starting in September 2016. You will attend a presentation given by the Headteacher and Sixth Form Learning Manager. This will be followed by a programme of taster lessons in each of your chosen A level subjects as well as a session to help prepare you for the more independent approach to learning in the Sixth Form. The programme will end by 12.30pm. Those students who will be new to the school will be invited to stay on to be involved in a variety of activities so that when they start in September, they will be more familiar with the site.  There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions they may have concerning our Sixth Form. Attendance at the induction day is expected by all students and strongly encouraged as you will learn how to make an effective transition to studying in the Sixth Form.

Induction Work
A requirement of starting courses in Year 12 is the completion of summer induction work in each of your chosen subjects. The purpose of this work is to help prepare you for the step up from GCSE to A level and it is a demonstration of your commitment to the courses you have chosen.
