The Hardenhuish Educational Trust is an independent charity working in tandem with the School to handle donations from parents, former pupils and from the wider community of Chippenham and its surrounding villages. These donations are used to enhance the core curriculum provision funded by the School’s budget grant. For example in recent times the Trust has contributed a range of equipment including a trolly of iPads for Science datalogging and Kindles for the Resources Centre. Funds have also been donated to facilitate Shakespeare and poetry workshops as well as prizes for an essay competition. We are also building a strategic reserve to endow projects in the future, especially those which cannot be funded by traditional routes.
The trustees meet regularly to decide on fundraising strategies and the allocation of money to support the school. The Trust has always worked closely with, and alongside, the Friends of Hardenhuish School in its fundraising activities. However, the Trust differs from the Friends in that it raises funds through donations rather than activities and events. This provides a mechanism for regular and single donations, as well as the receipt of legacies, without the need to attend a fundraising activity which can sometimes be difficult for busy members of our community.
To help support the work of the Trust and enhance the education of children at Hardenhuish School, please consider making a regular or single donation using a method convenient for you – just follow the instructions below.
