Festive Cheer At Hardenhuish’s Christmas Carol Concert!

Once again St. Paul’s Church in Chippenham was filled with the magical sound of Christmas music as Hardenhuish School hosted its annual highly anticipated Christmas Carol Concert on Thursday 17th December. As in previous years, there was no charge for admission to this festive extravaganza but this year donations were collected by pupils to help raise funds for Doorway, a charity ‘drop-in’ centre in Chippenham providing a friendly and safe place for adults who are homeless. A group of eight lucky Hardenhuish Year 13 Maths and Further Maths students, supported by Mr Pat Cobb, Further Maths Co-ordinator at Hardenhuish School, recently had a magnificent opportunity to try out some cutting edge technology. The whole experience was recorded for an advert for a project from dynamic geometry software GeoGebra and computing giant Intel. Hardenhuish School was abuzz with the entrepreneurial spirit as representatives from almost thirty local businesses and training providers attended the Careers Fair earlier this month. The event attracted a wide variety of representatives from the world of work locally such as Dyson based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust from Devizes and Chippenham based M J Church Construction. Hardenhuish Equestrian Team Hold on to Win at National Competition!

After the success of winning their class last year at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Show Jumping competition, Hardenhuish pupils repeated their fantastic performance by winning their class again this year. The event took place at West Wilts Equestrian Centre, near Melksham earlier this month and was superbly organised by Dauntsey’s School.
