Hardenhuish pupils willingly proved their generosity once again with a tremendous effort for Children in Need. This year’s fundraising events were organised by the kind-hearted Year 8 pupils and the KS3 office. Year 12 student Aimee Tonks has beaten off stiff competition to win the title of ‘Queen of Baking’ after she won Hardenhuish School’s own baking competition – ‘The Huish Bake Off’ on Friday 7th November. Hardenhuish School in Chippenham was represented by two teams at West Wiltshire Equestrian Centre near Melksham on Sunday 16th November in The National School Equestrian Association Event, run by Dauntsey’s School. Hardenhuish School Receives More Than £2,500 From Chippenham Borough Lands Charity

Schools in Chippenham were awarded more than £12,000 at the end of October by the Chippenham Borough Lands Charity. For the last 19 years, the charity has helped all 14 schools in the town through its social fund. This was originally set up to help schools to provide uniforms for families in need, and now also helps schools to ensure pupils do not miss out on trips or activities. This year’s fund was £12,040, split between the 14 schools, with £2,559 going to Hardenhuish School….

Hardenhuish Sixth-Former Kieran Mulvaney took part in a debate in the House of Commons on Friday 14th November. Kieran, who is nearly 17, was also chosen to receive a public nominated Civic Award in September from Chippenham Town Council and was elected to represent North Wiltshire in the UK Youth Parliament in February 2013.
