I am delighted that pupils at Hardenhuish School have achieved fantastic GCSE results.  Over 80% of all grades were at C or better, with 29% at A/A*.  75% of Y11 gained 5 or more good GCSEs (A*-C) grades, with nearly 70% including English and Maths.  These results, in a comprehensive school, reflect the quality of the three way partnership between home, school and the pupil, with enormous amounts of dedication and hard work by pupils, staff and parents. Sixth former uses super computing to design aircraft of the future!!

From 7th to 10th July 2014, Mathew Cooper, Year 12 student at Hardenhuish School, took on the challenge of designing aircraft of the future at the University of Southampton. The event was organised by The Smallpeice Trust and was delivered in partnership with the University’s Faculty of Engineering and the Environment as well as Microsoft. The A level results have exceeded our best ever with a pass rate of 99.8%, including 58% of grades A*-B.  9.5% of grades were at A* with 25.6% at A* and A.
