WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Eight talented badminton pupils from Hardenhuish School attended the Wiltshire Girls County Badminton Finals in Tidworth on Tuesday 4 February. The younger badminton team had performed really well to get this far in the competition but exceeded all expectations by remaining unbeaten in all their games and being crowned champions! The team will now go through to represent Wiltshire in the next regional heat in Exeter. MONKTON PARK WIN CHIPPENHAM PRIMARY NETBALL FESTIVAL

Nearly 100 Year 5 and 6 pupils from eleven schools in the Chippenham area were determined to keep their eyes on the ball, as they competed in the annual Chippenham Primary Netball Festival held at Hardenhuish School on Monday 10 February. Young Sports Ambassadors from both Hardenhuish and Sheldon schools, all chosen for their sports leadership skills, adjudicated and umpired the games and ensured that the afternoon’s play passed without a hitch! BAKING COMPETITION IS THE ‘ICING ON THE CAKE’ FOR WILTSHIRE PUPILS!

The dream of meeting and baking for their idol, the ‘Queen of Baking’ – Mary Berry, came a step closer this week for Wiltshire bakers involved in the BIG School Cake Challenge Final. Chippenham pupil Katherine Pennycott represented Hardenhuish School magnificently but was pipped at the post by a bake produced by Gemma Clatworthy from Nova Hreod School in Swindon.
