Three Year 12 Hardenhuish pupils recently won the Rotary Senior Youth Speaks public speaking competition. The event took place at Stonar School near Bath on Thursday 6 February and was fiercely contested between 6 teams representing both maintained and independent schools in the North Wiltshire area.  The jubilant Hardenhuish team were Sara Bevan (Chair), Hannah Ashbridge (Speaker) and Sebastian Turner (Proposer). Ex-pupil aims for international track honours

Former Hardenhuish School pupil Loren Bleaken is hoping that a break from cross country competition will give her the best chance of earning more international honours on the track this year. Loren pulled off a host of impressive results last season and also made a major breakthrough by making her Great Britain debut in the 800m at the European Junior Championships in Rieti, Italy.  She finished the season third over both 400m and 800m in the UK rankings for U20 women, improving her personal best…

Members of Xtreme -  Hardenhuish School’s Boys Dance Company  – will be competing in the Regional Finals of the Great Big Dance Off Competition in March. The Year 8 boys will appear in the finals at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Monday 31 March having being shortlisted in the top 25 of secondary school age dance groups in the South England region.
