On Saturday 7 December Hardenhuish Year 7 girls played in the District Netball tournament at Devizes School. Once again Hardenhuish demonstrated their strength and depth of netball by entering three teams in the event. Hardenhuish KS3 Badminton players had a very enjoyable day competing in the Centre Parcs Badminton competition held at Devizes School on Tuesday 12 November. There were lots of entries from schools across the Mid Wilts area for this popular national competition. KS4 Badminton success at School Games Competition

On Tuesday 26 November two KS4 badminton teams competed in the School Games Area competition held at Devizes School. There were four girls and four boys competing in separate categories against four other schools (Lavington, Devizes, Abbeyfield & Corsham) all hoping to qualify for the County Round in February. The annual Worldwise Quiz, hosted by the Geographical Association was held in Bath on Tuesday 26 November. The geography department entered two teams: one from Year 9 and the other from Year 11 to challenge teams from local schools for first place. After five rounds of questions including a ‘geography in the news’ round and a picture round teams were selected to go through to the final. Let’s beat Lily to top spot

Hardenhuish pupils Izzy Perkins, Dara Heneghan, Jess and Emily Butler are hoping to beat Lily Allen to the top spot in the charts this Christmas. They are part of a Kandu Arts young persons’ choir which has recorded a Christmas single.  The song, “Make your Way” was written by Kandu Arts Director, Mr Deedigan, and has been released on iTunes and Spotify. Synchronised Chippenham!

Hardenhuish pupils Bethany Barnett, Courtney Matthews and Natalie Dodd, all members of Chippenham ASC, enjoyed a fine set of results at the British Gas National Age Group Synchronised Swimming in Gloucester recently. The nine-strong 12 and under Recreational team led the way, finishing in fourth place out of 16, just 0.333 points behind the two teams above them.
